Our salon has served southwest Houston, Sharpstown, Maplewood, Bellaire, and Meyerland since1997. We are fortunate to have a growing client base and are looking to add the right people to help expand our business. Type: Full-time and/or Part-time (Tuesday-Saturday, Closed Sunday & Monday)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-- Review the client’s desired style-cut with the Master Groomer
-- Work effectively in a team-based environment to complete grooms within our group scheduling time frame
-- Review grooming notes to evaluate any health and/or behavioral problems
-- Communicate to the team any observations regarding temperament, condition, and/or      health of a pet
-- Groom all breeds to standard and/or client’s direction (as possible)
-- With sound judgment, adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all     pets, co-workers, and customers in our salon
-- Maintain salon appearance standards
-- Clean and maintain grooming equipment regularly
-- Assist in salon operations to include, shop maintenance, bathing, laundry, and/or     customer service

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

-- Strong animal behavior knowledge and handling skills
-- Use of a positive-reinforcement conditioning process
-- Creativity, innovation, and style for those client’s who desire special service

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND TRAINING

-- All ranges of work experience considered
-- Graduation from an accredited Dog Grooming School is desirable
-- Portfolios, photographs, and/or recommendations are highly encouraged
-- Resumes should reflect a solid time line and reflect all work experience, education,     and training to date

Job Title: Dog Bather - Assistant Groomer

Location: Houston, Texas (Bellaire, West Loop, Southwest)

Profession: Animal Care

Type: Full-time and/or Part-time (Tuesday-Saturday, Closed Sunday & Monday)

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-- Review pet ‘notes’ to evaluate any health and/or behavioral problems
-- Prepare each dog for the grooming table to include: Bathe thoroughly with     appropriate shampoo & conditioner, towel and/or fluff dry with HV cool air dryer,     clean ears, clip and/or ‘Dremel’ nails, brush and comb out coat.
-- Assist in salon operations to include: shop maintenance, laundry, and/or customer     service
-- Work effectively in a team-based environment to complete each dog within our group     scheduling time frame
-- Communicate to the team any observations regarding temperament, condition, and/or     health of a pet
--With sound judgment, adhere to all policies and procedures to ensure the safety of all     pets, co-workers, and customers in our salon
-- Maintain salon appearance standards
-- Clean and maintain salon equipment regularly
